This old green furoshiki wrapping cloth probably dates from late 19th - early 20th century. It is resist-dyed with the hand drawn tutsugaki technique. The design is a traditional celebratory 'noshi' ribbon used on gifts. It measures 98cm x 120cm and is in good but not perfect condition. There are some small holes and tears and discolouring. There is a small amount of simple sashiko reinforcing the corners.
