This sakiori rag-weaving noragi worker's jacket is from the Sada-Misaki Peninsular in Ehime prefecture on Shikoku and dates from mid-20th century, around the time that sakiori weaving ended in this area. This hanten style of jacket is called tsuzure in this area but the name varies from place to place. It has kasuri (ikat) sleeves which have been recycled from another garment and there is a small patch near the shoulder of one sleeve. The garment as a whole doesn't seem to have had much use and is in excellent condition.
