Boro Jacket Remnant
Boro patched and stitched jacket remnant
Late 19th - early 20th century indigo cotton work jacket. It isn't meant to be sleeveless - they've been removed as has the collar. What's left is still a beautiful authentic piece of boro patching and stitching. The main photo is actually the lining of the jacket which is the interesting bit. The original outer fabric is a stencil resist-dyed katazome in an unusual basket weave pattern with a Buddhist swastika motif.
