Specialising in authentic cotton and silk Japanese textiles for quilters, textile artists, and collectors.
About Wafu Works
I’ve been selling vintage Japanese textiles, paper and
antiques since I returned to Tasmania in 1997 after living for nearly ten years in Imabari in Ehime Prefecture. I opened Wafu Works at Kingston Beach in 2001. Since then I’ve become more and more passionate about Japanese textiles and the history they tell.
My online shop offers a selection of unique curated items featuring authentic vintage cotton and silk textiles, haberdashery and other Japanese craft supplies and textile related antiques. I keep busy in the shop and add to the online store as time allows. At the moment the shop is only set to accept orders from within Australia - overseas customers are welcome to contact me directly.
I hope you’ll enjoy having a look around. Yoroshiku onegaishimasu!
